A Ministry of

New Mission Systems International

2014 by the numbers

In lieu of our monthly story, we at AfricaHope want to take a look back on 2014 and share with you what God has done here in Maasai-land.  As we reflect on this past year, we are profoundly grateful for God’s provision of our ministry through the generous support of many of you.  Please praise God with us as we celebrate His work this past year.

In 2014, through AfricaHope’s ministry we were able to:

-Begin on 3 teachers’ houses at a partner school in Olosirua
-Provide school scholarships for 28 elementary and high school students
-Plant 2 new churches
-Disciple 15 church leaders from the new church plants through 2 in-depth discipleship retreats and weekly home visits
-Train and certify 20 local church leaders to teach through Bible-storytelling using audio Bibles
-Baptize 14 new believers into Christ
-Serve over 50 pastors from 14 denominations by providing encouragement, discipleship, and practical ministry tools through our annual pastors’ seminar and home visits
-Partner with TheoVision International to record the first audio Old Testament in Maasai and provide personal access to the entire audio Bible to millions of Maasai who never learned to read
-Empower 12 Community Health Educators (CHEs) through healthy home lessons
In 2014, we also worked toward our goal of sustaining our ministry financially from local projects within Kenya.

This year, we were able to:
-Clear and fence our 48-acre farm with solar-powered fencing
-Drill and equip a borehole at the farm, providing a permanent water source
-Purchase 70 goats to fatten and sell at the local market
Thank you so much for being a part of our ministry and dream here at AfricaHope.  We look forward to seeing what God will do in 2015!
