Spreading H2Ope.

Food and water insecurity has been a major cause of illness across the developing world for decades. Our communities in the Osupuko area are especially vulnerable, with inaccessible healthcare and resources. The projects we initiate spread the Good news, focus on prevention and seek to tackle these issues at the source.

Deep water wells

Access to water& to new opportunities

Unpredictable rains and long journies to collect water are a great challenge for many in our communities. A successful borehole, however challenging it may be to establish, means clean and accessible water for an entire village, a local church and schools. With the community's help, this new source of water opens up opportunities that were once unimaginable.

Water filters

Quality of water&of life

Many families still lack access to clean drinking water at home. Amid the darkness of sickness, contamination of water sources and storage methods, there is a new light. Simple and affective home based water filters can have a dramatic impact on health. Beyond the distribution of filters, community based sanitation and hygiene education lifts families.

Agriculture

Growing our future

Our people are at a crossroad between their traditional ways of life as pastoralists and assimilating to new land ownership policies. At this critical point, We ease commmunities in dealing with this shift through agricultural research, modelling and tranings. Sustainable farming honors God. Feeding your family is a source of dignity.

Education & Evangelism

In teaching the Good news of forgiveness and Hope for life, we learn of how Christ cares for our health, and how our temples, in good health, can be of better service to His work. Our efforts in Education and Evangelism are through the CHE (Community Health Evangelism) strategy that involves communities in studying the bible together, and the formation of WASHiriki clubs that teach teachers who share WASH principles and the Word of God in their villages.

The clean water that was once a luxury in my home, is now in my reach because of my water filter. I am joyful and grateful to God that my family's health is improving, and believe that with my testimony, my neighbors with buy water filters of their own soon.
