In pursuit of holistic health.

Food and water insecurity has been a major cause of illness across the developing world for decades. Our communities in the Osupuko area are especially vulnerable, with inaccessible healthcare and resources. The projects we initiate focus on prevention and seek to tackle these issues at the source.

Deep water wells

Access to water&new opportunities

Unpredictable rains and long journies to collect water prove to be a great challenge for many in our communities. Drilling wells can be challenging but a successful borehole means clean, accessible water for an entire village plus a local school. Solar pumps and community oversight help to provide a sustainable future.

Water filters

Quality at Home

Many families still lack access to clean drinking water at home. Contaminated sources and methods of transportation put people at risk. Simple and affective home based water filters can have a dramatic impact on health. Beyond the distribution of filters, community based sanitation and hygiene education lifts the wellness of families.

Agriculture

Growing our future

The intersection of traditional ways of life and new land use policies are providing great challenges and opportunities for our communities. Our agricultural research, modelling and trainings in the community helps pave the path forward to a thriving future.

Community Health Evangelism

Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is a model that integrates evangelism and discipleship with community health. AfricaHope employs this model, that combines Jesus' Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 25: 37-40), by implementing WASHiriki clubs. These clubs, comprising of 20 or so, are formed by trained individuals who train others, who also train others thus propagating the Gospel and promoting principles of disease prevention and healthy living.
